SPSS ist eine seit dem Jahr 1968 existierende Statistik Software, die vielfach im wissenschaftlichen Bereich verwendet wird. Die Software ist alt aber gut, hat aber einen stolzen Preis. Die billigste Version ist für 95,53 Euro pro Monat von der Webseite von IBM zu mieten. (Der Preis gilt für die Base Edition von SPSS eine voll Lizenz kostet für ein Jahr rund 20 000 Euro.)
Ein alternative, zur Analyse von statistischen Daten, ist das freie Programm
PSPP. Die Statistik Software kann die proprietäre Datenfiles von SPSS lesen und ist quasi eine Kopie von SPPS. Die Software ist für die meisten Auswertungen im Bereich in der Marktforschung, oder auch für studentische Arbeiten vollkommen ausreichend.
